Fat malabsorption is a leading cause of Digestive/GI issues 
Fat malabsorption results from defects in fat digestion and absorption.  It can cause nutrient deficiencies, weight loss, malnutrition, failure to thrive, and decreased brain function, impacting overall well-being and health.

Current treatment protocols do not (yet) include providing absorbable healthy fats 
Treating fat malabsorption involves dietary adjustments, enzyme supplements, and, if needed, medications. This often includes a diet high in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), lacking in healthy long-chain fats.

Introducing Vytala's 
Proprietary Lipid Technology

Vytala leverages proprietary technology to improve absorption of needed fats, nutrients

Lipid restructuring, practiced for decades, modifies fatty acids to enhance health and functionality in food products.  In the 1980s, renowned biochemist Dr. David Yesair developed a novel structured lipid under the trade name Lym-X-Sorb®. This proprietary fat source allows for fat digestion without enzymes. Vytala's products leverage this technology to deliver highly absorbable long-chain fats.

Vytala's lipid technology has been clinically proven to improve overall fat and nutrient absorption

A $7M NIH-funded study* compared Vytala to standard fats over 12 months, using the same primary endpoint as a leading biotech product.  In the study, 110 individuals with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) supplemented their meals, beverages, or snacks with Vytala for one year. Results demonstrated increased fat and essential nutrient absorption, enabling them to reach and maintain healthy weight, height, and BMI targets.
